Plans include a new town square, urban park and ample space for shops, restaurants, educational facilities, offices, as well as potentially a boutique cinema, live music venue and bars.

Third Phase of Slough’s Major Regeneration Project Approved
The third phase of a major regeneration project in Slough, known as Station Square, has been approved and will see new offices and restaurants built on the Future Works site in the town center.
James Swindlehurst, Deputy Leader of Slough Borough Council, said: “Following the green light for the completion of Station Square, the submission of plans for the regeneration of the Thames Valley University site, and British Land’s submission of plans for the Queensmere Observatory shopping centers this autumn, residents can prepare for an exciting future.”

Slough’s Thunderbirds Themed ‘Double Decker’ Hotel Opens
A ‘double-decker’ hotel has opened in Slough – with references to the town’s past and a classic TV show. The Moxy has 152 rooms and features graphics from Thunderbirds in its design. The famous puppet show was filmed in Slough in the 1960s. The Residence Inn has 92 suites with views of the town skyline.
The hotel is a joint venture between Slough Council and Slough Urban Regeneration (SUR). Andy Howell, Managing Director of SUR, said: “The hotel is a fantastic asset and our projects continue to be a catalyst for change in the town. It will provide essential accommodation for both business and leisure users, while additional bar and lounge facilities will bring a new vibrancy to this high street area.”
